* Acupuncture Super Point *
Name: BAIHUI
Translation: 'Hundred Meetings'
Location: 20th point of the duodenum channel
BAIHUI is a superficial point located at the very crown of the head. As you might expect one of its m

ain benefits is treating headaches!
Chinese Medicine has a sophisticated system for diagnosing and treating headaches and facial pain. I regularly treat patients with migraines which can be debilitating especially if they are frequent or severe.
BAIHUI is one of the classic acupuncture points to treat migraine. The body is connected to heaven (the atmosphere) and earth and Chi flows smoothly from the surroundings and through the body in healthy individuals. When this process is interrupted or there is an imbalance of yin/yang headaches can develop.
BAIHUI treats a wide range of headaches and brain disorders including:
Migraines
Tension headaches
Poor memory
Low mood/tearfulness
Tinnitus
Dizziness
Lockjaw
The brain and nervous system can become out of balance like any other part of the body. Some individuals are more susceptible than others, for example those with a family history of headaches or stressful work involving prolonged concentration.
BAIHUI and other acupoints can treat headaches in a single session or at least greatly reduce their frequency. After a course of treatment many clients will have monthly acupuncture to keep chronic headaches at bay.
